Our prayer

Ephesians 1:4-5

Even before he made the world God loved us & chose us in Christ to be Holy & without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do & it gave him great pleasure.

There is a deep seated desire in my heart to mother more children. And though it has been a long journey already, Jordan & I are so excited to announce we are adopting. We have felt the tug on our hearts to a child born to another woman. We want to emulate our father’s great love for us. Just as he adopted us and it gave him joy, we fully anticipate the fulfillment of our calling to bring us more joy than we can imagine. That is not to say we expect the journey to be easy or without heartache. Already we have hit roadblocks and struggles. But we know this is God’s will & we intend to follow.

Our Journey Begins

The title is a little misleading. Our journey began nearly about 8 years ago. Mandi and I knew each other in high school, but we didn’t start dating until we had both graduated. As our relationship grew we began to discuss what we wanted for a family. I had always been interested in adopting, specifically from outside the US. I knew that I wanted children, but I had also seen the many children in need of a loving home. Mandi had always wanted a large family, and we talked about adopting sometime in the future.
